Michael Connors, a 26-year-old man from Clondrinagh Halting Site, Ennis Road, undertook a garda inspector on the inside lane at speed in the vicinity of Coonagh Roundabout, Limerick on 17 January 2021. The garda inspector was driving his personal car at the time. Connors pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention at Kilmallock Court. Judge Marie Keane fined him €300 in February 2023. He has 36 previous convictions including theft, criminal damage, burglary, speeding, trespassing and possession of an article.

Michael Connors, 27, of Monkstown Farm, Dublin, put the family's 12-week-old puppy in a cold bath and threw it on the floor in front of his three small children and wife on 9 April 2020 after being out drinking. He then punched his wife when she returned from a neighbour's house and demanded a €50 note after she gave him €10, and on a separate occasion punched her twice, smashed her phone, and threw a scooter at her. Connors pleaded guilty to two counts of assault, one count of criminal damage, and one count of animal cruelty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. In November 2022, he was sentenced to 18 months on each count, with the assault and animal cruelty sentences running consecutively and the remainder suspended with two years' probation supervision.
