Michael Connors, 37, of Tallaght, Dublin, was arrested at Portarlington Train Station in County Laois on 13 January 2023 after gardaí found 98 Alprazolam tablets and cannabis on him during a multi-agency check on trains from Dublin. He was charged with possession of drugs for personal use and pleaded guilty. In July 2023, Judge Andrew Cody sentenced him to two months in prison, suspended for two years. The man was already serving a separate jail sentence at the time of sentencing.

Michael Connors, 36, of Tullow, stole two bottles of whiskey from a storeroom at the Super Valu store on Main Street, Blessington, on 6 November 2019, shortly before 1pm. He was stopped by a duty manager but ran and escaped in a vehicle. He was prosecuted under the Theft and Fraud Offences Act on 8 June 2022 at Naas District Court, where he admitted the offence. Judge Desmond Zaidan sentenced him to 11 months' custody.
