Michael Connors, a 23-year-old man, was stopped at Kinnear Lane, off Letterkenny's Main Street in Co Donegal, on 22 December 2023, and gardaí found €100 of cocaine on him after searching him under the Misuse of Drugs Act. He pleaded guilty at Letterkenny District Court, appearing by videolink from prison, where the judge noted his cooperation and the time saved. Judge Emile Daly imposed a three-month prison sentence to run concurrently with the six and a half year sentence Connors is already serving for drug dealing and endangerment, as reported on 2 December 2025.

On 17 November 2020, Michael Connors, a man from Letterkenny, drove a car at Garda Anthony Marren, striking him and causing him to spin and fall. Connors was later caught in an undercover operation in Letterkenny and charged with endangerment, dangerous driving, possession of cocaine for sale or supply, and money laundering. He pleaded guilty to all charges at Letterkenny Circuit Court in February 2024. In November 2025, Judge John Aylmer sentenced him to six-and-a-half years in prison and a 10-year driving ban, with the last two years suspended on conditions.
