Josephine 'Jo Jo' Dullard, 21, from Callan, Co Kilkenny, disappeared on 9 November 1995 after socialising in Dublin and hitchhiking home, with her last known contact being a phone call from Moone, Co Kildare at 11.37pm in which she said a car had stopped for her. Her sister Kathleen reported her missing the following morning, and the case was upgraded from a missing persons inquiry to a murder investigation in November 2020. A 55-year-old man from the Kildare-Wicklow border area was arrested on suspicion of murder on 11 November 2024, the first arrest in the case, and was released without charge on 12 November 2024. Gardaí conducted a three-week search and excavation of land near Grangecon, Co Wicklow, but no remains were found, and the investigation remains ongoing with a fresh appeal issued on the 30th anniversary in November 2025.

Annie McCarrick, a 26-year-old American woman from Long Island, New York, disappeared on 26 March 1993 from her apartment in Sandymount, Dublin 4, after her last confirmed activity was a grocery purchase at 11:02am that morning. She was reported missing by a friend on 28 March 1993, and the case was upgraded from a missing person inquiry to a murder investigation on 24 March 2023. A man in his 60s, a millionaire businessman well known to McCarrick, was arrested on suspicion of murder on 12 June 2025, the first arrest in the 32-year investigation, and released without charge on 13 June 2025. A search and excavation at a property in Clondalkin, west Dublin, linked to the suspect concluded on 24 June 2025, and the investigation remains active.
