Keith Conlon, a 36-year-old man from Tallaght, was shot in the head during a dispute on private farmland at Hazelgrove Farm, Tallaght, Co. Dublin, at around 1pm on 22 February 2022. He was out walking with his dog and a friend when a confrontation broke out with another man on the privately owned land. A man in his early 50s, described in one report as a barrister, was arrested at the scene and detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939. Mr Conlon was pronounced dead at Tallaght University Hospital on 24 February 2022. The suspect was charged and appeared before Tallaght District Court on 25 February 2022.
