    Roman Lakatos, 56, and Roman Lavu, 22, both of 47 Sean Doire, Durrow, are accused of burgling a residential address in Laois on 11 November 2025 and stealing €100,000 in cash that had been stored in tins. The two men first appeared before Portlaoise District Court on 20 September 2026 and were remanded in custody. Their cases were adjourned on 18 October 2026 pending DPP directions, with an interpreter requested for Lakatos. On 3 November 2026, both men were granted bail with independent sureties and passport conditions, and are due to appear again on 9 November 2026.
