A woman was allegedly dragged from her home in Castletown, Celbridge, Co Kildare, and pushed into the back of a car at about 10.10pm on Monday 23 June 2025, following threats to petrol bomb her house over a dispute about a missing dog. Richard O'Leary, 36, and Samantha Leeson, 34, were arrested in Tallaght, Dublin 24, within 90 minutes of Gardaí being alerted and charged with burglary to commit criminal damage and threatening to damage the victim's property. Both appeared at Blanchardstown District Court on 25 June 2025, where Judge David McHugh refused bail for both. O'Leary was remanded to appear at Cloverhill District Court on 4 July, while Leeson is due to appear via video link at Blanchardstown District Court on 1 July.
