  Olgierd Frankowski, a 47-year-old Polish man, has been charged with 13 offences, 12 relating to drug possession and one to money laundering, over cannabis, amphetamine and MDMA allegedly found at his home and at Escape Rooms Galway, 60 Dominick Street, Galway, on 30 September 2022, and €12,700 in cash allegedly held at the escape room. He was arrested shortly after midnight on Thursday 27 August 2026 and charged soon afterwards. At a special sitting of Galway District Court that day, the State had no objection to bail with conditions, but the €5,000 surety could not be proven, so he was remanded in custody and the matter was adjourned to Friday. The latest reported development is that remand, and the outcome of the Friday hearing is not reported.
