Michael Griffin, a 66-year-old man, was reported missing on 6 October 2022 after being last seen in the Lord Edward Street area of Dublin 2. His body was found in the water off Howth Harbour at approximately 3pm on 21 October 2022 after tourists reported a sighting, and the Howth RNLI recovered it following an alert from the Irish Coast Guard. The body was taken to Dublin City Mortuary, and the missing persons appeal was stood down. Gardaí are investigating all circumstances, with the post-mortem results to determine the course of the investigation.
