• Man jailed for 11 years over conspiracy to murder in Dublin Conspiracy to murder · Co. Dublin

Charlie Cooper, a 38-year-old man, was shot multiple times at his home in Parslickstown Green, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15, on 5 December 2016 and survived after emergency surgery. Jason O'Connor, a 46-year-old man, was charged with attempted murder in August 2023 and pleaded guilty in May 2024 to the reduced charge of conspiracy to murder and to facilitating the Kinahan crime group. The court described the attack as a revenge-type plot after O'Connor's friend Keith Walker was shot dead in 2015 in a case of mistaken identity. O'Connor was sentenced to 11 years in prison by the Special Criminal Court in October 2024.
