  On 22 December 2023 a garda saw a 41-year-old man, Zvladi Chagoshuili, driving on the wrong side of the road at Short Corville, Roscrea, County Tipperary, and had to steer away from an oncoming car to avoid a collision. The garda found no insurance documentation on the windscreen when he asked for the driver's licence, and Chagoshuili was charged with dangerous driving and driving without insurance. The case was heard at Nenagh District Court, where the judge described the dangerous driving as extremely concerning and warned that a repeat could bring a prison sentence. As reported on 30 July 2024, he was banned for two years and fined €100 on the dangerous driving charge, and received a second two-year disqualification and a €100 fine on the insurance charge.
