Zeinat Dashabsheh, a 42-year-old woman and mother of five, was stabbed to death at her home in Park Na Sillogue Court, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow, on 24 December 2021. A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and taken to Bray Garda Station, where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. Gardaí launched a murder investigation and said they were not looking for anyone else. The man was charged following directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions and is due before a special sitting of Bray District Court on 26 December 2021.
