  A man aged 29 is charged with burglary offences alleged to have taken place in Monkstown and Ringaskiddy, Co Cork, on 25 and 26 January 2024, including burglary at Marine Villas, Monkstown, on 25 January. He gave the name Yousoof Angelina to his solicitor, and his solicitor said he was from Syria, but his fingerprints matched 27 different names across the UK and Europe, and gardaí are liaising with Interpol to establish his identity. He is also charged with stealing a bicycle at Ensign Bar, Monkstown, possessing cannabis for his own use, and failing to produce a valid passport or equivalent document at Togher garda station on 26 January. At Cork District Court on 21 May 2024, the DPP deemed the case suitable for the district court, Judge Mary Dorgan reserved her decision on jurisdiction until he reveals his true identity, and he was remanded in custody until 4 June.
