    Yosita Fitzpatrick, a Thai woman, set up Connemara Thai Massage in Letterfrack, Co Galway, in October or November 2025 and was inundated with daily calls and messages from men seeking sexual services and 'happy endings,' including pictures of their genitals. She made a formal complaint at Clifden Garda Station, providing audio recordings, screenshots, and texts, after one call was traced to the phone number of a former member of An Garda Síochána. Gardaí received the report on 13 February 2026 and opened an investigation into alleged offences under the Harassment, Harmful Communications and Related Offences Act 2020 and the Criminal Justice (Sexual Offences) Act 2017. Fitzpatrick has since stopped accepting male clients, and enquiries are ongoing.
