  Gardaí with the Dublin Crime Response Team seized €1,283,935 in cash during an operation on 7 and 8 August 2025 targeting an organised crime group involved in drug supply and money laundering in south Dublin. The cash was found in a car stopped in Donnybrook, Dublin 4, and during follow-up searches of properties in south Dublin and a hotel room in Dublin 2. Three men were arrested: Kwan Wang, a 36-year-old Chinese national who lives in Hong Kong; Vladislavs Temmis, a 54-year-old speaker from Latvia; and Ik Joo Kang, a 47-year-old man from South Korea. Each faces two counts under section 7 of the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010 for possessing proceeds of criminal conduct, carrying a maximum 14-year sentence. All three were remanded in custody at Dublin District Court on 9 August to appear at Cloverhill District Court the following week.
