latest first- Senator settles road traffic injury claim in Dublin Road traffic incident (personal injuries) · Co. Dublin
In February 2016, a car driven by Green Party senator Vincent Martin went through a red light in Dundrum, south Dublin, and collided with a pram being pushed by 36-year-old Slovak woman Jana Novakova, who was also holding the hand of her other young daughter. The impact knocked the pram over and threw her two-month-old daughter onto the road, while Novakova sustained injuries to her right arm and shoulder and was later diagnosed with PTSD. The personal injury claim was heard in the Circuit Court earlier in 2022 before being transferred to the High Court, where it was settled for an undisclosed sum. Liability was not in dispute in the case.
