  Tomas Martinkus, a 29-year-old Lithuanian man, had been living and working around Strokestown, Co Roscommon for over two years when he vanished in December 2018. His skeletal remains were found in a field in Roscommon in December 2024, almost six years after his disappearance, and he was identified through DNA analysis. Officers initially ruled there was no foul play involved, but his sisters believe his death is suspicious and are demanding a full-scale Garda inquiry. A file will be prepared for the Coroner, and the missing person appeal has been stood down.
