Tina Nevin, 48, a woman from 18 Silverbrook, Mountmellick, admitted a charge of violent disorder relating to an incident on 20 February 2017 at that address. During a standoff with gardai, she threatened to curse their families with cancer and implements were thrown at the officers. She evaded gardai for a period after the incident. In November 2022, Judge Andrew Cody sentenced her to a two-month term suspended for two years.
