    On 17 April 2024 at about 10pm, plain-clothes gardaí saw two people coming from behind a building on Maudlin Street, Kilkenny, and they appeared to be trying to hide. Timmy Jackman was searched and found with a small amount of cocaine, which he said was for his own use. He pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine at Kilkenny District Court, where Judge Geraldine Carthy convicted him and imposed a one-month prison sentence, with recognisance fixed in the event of an appeal. The sentence was reported in February 2025, with the sources giving 21 and 24 February as the date.
