  Thomas Leonavicius, a 37-year-old man from Edgeworthstown, Co Longford, was found in possession of €21,660 worth of cannabis and methamphetamine during a search of his home on 15 August 2018. He was also charged with obstruction after throwing suspected drugs and a phone while running from Gardaí and injuring an arresting officer during a struggle on 27 March 2021. A jury at Longford Circuit Court held at Mullingar Courthouse unanimously found him guilty on all counts on 15 October 2021. He was sentenced on 11 January 2022 to seven years' imprisonment with the final three years suspended, plus concurrent three-month and four-month sentences for the drugs and obstruction charges.
