Thomas Armstrong, 46, of Glasnevin, Dublin, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to harassment of Lorna McAuley between August 2016 and August 2018. The dispute began when Armstrong claimed he wanted to move back into the apartment and said McAuley owed him for rent and damage. He was sentenced to two years in jail with the final 16 months suspended, ordered not to communicate with McAuley for 40 years, and restricted from approaching within 500m of her home or workplace.
