    On 4 October 2021, Teresa Canning, a woman from Drumconor, Dromahair, was observed driving a red Opel van on Main St, Dromahair, that had no insurance, tax, NCT or driving licence. Two days later she phoned Manorhamilton Garda Station claiming the vehicle was stolen, but CCTV showed her leaving a shop and turning back when she saw the Gardaí. She presented at the station on 26 January 2022 and made a cautioned statement admitting she had been driving the van. At Manorhamilton District Court she pleaded guilty and was fined €250 for no insurance, €150 for no driving licence and €150 for the false report, with six months allowed to pay and no disqualification imposed.
