Sven Spollen Behrens, a 54-year-old former lobbyist from Killiney, Co Dublin, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court in November 2022 to stealing €10,250 from Dun Laoghaire Business Improvement District on 16 June 2017 and a further €10,250 from Sandyford Business Improvement District in August 2017. The remainder of the counts against him were struck out. Judge Patricia Ryan adjourned the matter for sentence on 16 January 2023, when the evidence in the case will be heard.
