  Stephen Grace, aged 34, with an address in County Galway, was convicted by a jury in January 2026 of threatening to blow up the house of a woman in her late 20s, a Limerick social worker, and to kill her. The threats followed a phone call on 31 May 2022 in which he asked about two people in the care system; the social worker said the information could not be disclosed, and the sources differ on whether he became aggressive. Grace was arrested on 16 July 2022, admitted making the call, and denied being aggressive or making threats. Judge Colin Daly remanded him in custody at Limerick Circuit Court until 15 April 2026, when sentence will be imposed, after a probation report recommended rehabilitation or alternatively a suspended prison sentence.
