  On 21 September 2018, in the early hours, a man in his mid-twenties was attacked with a knife at Stephen Curtin's house on Rosbrien Terrace, Punches Cross, Limerick, where he had gone to get drugs. Curtin, aged 33, of the same address, was arrested later, and gardaí said they found heroin at the address and cocaine on him. On 15 November 2023 he pleaded guilty at Limerick Circuit Court to assault causing harm, sale or supply of heroin and possession of cocaine, and the judge imposed a three-year sentence with the last 18 months suspended. The latest report, published 19 November 2023, confirms the sentence and notes that the cocaine possession charge was taken into consideration.
