Stephen Comiskey, a 51-year-old man living on Turnbury Road in Baldoyle, County Dublin, was jailed for possessing child sexual abuse material. UK authorities contacted gardaí in August 2024 about a user who had a sexually explicit conversation with a 14-year-old boy, and a July 2025 report on his laptop and phones found 101 files considered child sexual abuse material. Comiskey was charged with possession, not production, and pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court. Judge Orla Crowe sentenced him to two years and four months, saying the threshold for custody had been exceeded, and reports of the sentence were published in May 2026.
