Linda Caplis, 45, of Traverstown, Dolla, operated an online website called Munster Bling selling fashion accessories, allegedly based at Ballygriffin, Kenmare. In December 2020, four women from Tipperary and Kerry — Alison Darcy, Stephanie O'Shaughnessy, Lisa Buckley and Joanna O'Sullivan — ordered handbags and items totalling €476 but never received them. Caplis was charged with four counts of online fraud under the Theft and Fraud Act and pleaded not guilty at Nenagh District Court in early 2022. Judge Elizabeth MacGrath found her guilty in September 2022 and in February 2023 placed her on a 12-month probation bond of €250 after she paid €445 in full compensation.
