    A man admitted driving without insurance while disqualified on the M9 at Knocktopher, Kilkenny, on May 12. A garda conducting a speed checkpoint detected the vehicle travelling at 143 kilometres per hour in a 120 zone and stopped it, finding the driver was disqualified and the vehicle was registered to his wife. Sonata Jakoniene was charged as the vehicle owner for allowing an unlicensed driver.
