latest first- 37-year-old woman sentenced for breach of the peace in Tullamore Public order (breach of the peace; abusive language) · Co. Offaly
Sinead Redmond, 37, of Cloghan, was sentenced at Tullamore District Court for a breach of the peace arising from a row over a meal bill at the Canton Regent restaurant in Tullamore on 12 June 2022. She was intoxicated and unsteady when gardaí arrived at 9.15pm, and she called Sergeant James O'Sullivan a 'dirty bastard' and told him 'I hope you die.' Judge Patricia Cronin noted she had four previous convictions and was still subject to a suspended sentence, but she escaped jail. The judge said she was arrested for her own safety and that she had contacted the gardaí to apologise.
