  Shirley Kidd, a woman aged 54, was arrested on 14 August 2024 after a public order incident at the Thornton Hall site in Kilsallaghan, north County Dublin, where Gardaí were assisting IPAS and contractors to enter the site for lawful employment. She was charged with wilful obstruction of the free passage of a vehicle on the R135 at Coolquay, threatening or abusive behaviour, and failing to comply with a garda direction to leave the vicinity. She appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin on 15 August, where Judge Cephas Power ordered her to stay away from the site, refused a garda request to ban her from attending protests, and released her on €200 bail with conditions to sign on at a garda station three times a week. She is due at Balbriggan District Court on 9 September 2024 to enter a plea.
