    On 28 June 2019, Shannon Kehoe, then 17, assaulted a 13-year-old girl outside The Old Forge nightclub in Wicklow Town. The girl was taken by ambulance to Tallaght University Hospital for an overnight stay to treat injuries to her head and neck. Kehoe came to the attention of gardaí after being arrested for public order offences and subsequently admitted the assault. In March 2022, Kehoe, now 19, pleaded guilty to assault causing harm at Wicklow Circuit Criminal Court. Judge Martina Baxter adjourned sentencing to a date in November, describing the incident as appalling and shocking.
