Dan Curtin, 63, was killed outright when a car collided with his motorcycle on the R515 at Thomastown, Kilmallock, County Limerick on February 2, 2024. Peter Danis, 46, met gardaí by appointment outside Newcastle West District Court and was arrested and charged with dangerous driving causing death. Shane Dillon, 31, presented himself at the same court and was arrested and charged with making a false statement to gardaí about the collision. Judge Carol Anne Coolican remanded Danis on bail of 100 euro and directed him to Limerick Circuit Criminal Court, while accepting jurisdiction over Dillon's case and granting a disclosure application.
