Shane Connell was charged over two cocaine incidents in Longford, on 21 November 2020 at Connaught Road and on 18 February 2022 at Annaly Park. Gardaí found a package of cocaine valued at €3,724 on him after the first incident and a wrap valued at €70 after stopping and searching him at the second. He was charged with unlawful possession of cocaine and possession for sale or supply over the first incident, and with possession of cocaine over the second. When he appeared before Longford District Court in June 2023 he admitted the charges, and sentencing was adjourned to 14 November for a probation report, so no sentence has yet been imposed.
