Ronan Wilson, a nine-year-old boy from Kildress, Co Tyrone, was struck and killed on 23 September 2023 at around 9.20pm on Atlantic Way, Bundoran, Co Donegal, when a car driven by Sergee Kelly, 24, a man from Upper Mullaghmore, Co Sligo, hit him at speeds between 105 and 111 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. Kelly fled the scene and was arrested the following day, then charged with dangerous driving causing death, failing to stop, failing to remain at the scene, and failing to offer assistance.
