    Wesley Kinsella, 31, allegedly charged at three gardai with a machete and damaged their patrol vehicle while they responded to a domestic disturbance call at Lachford Square, Hansfield, Dublin 15, on 23 January 2025. He was arrested a week later after presenting himself at Cavan Garda station and was charged with assault on a garda, criminal damage, and production of a weapon. At his bail hearing at Dublin District Court, Judge Michael Ramsey remanded Kinsella in custody. The case is expected to be dealt with in the Circuit Court.
