Gardaí from the Cavan/Monaghan division searched the home of businessman Seán Quinn in Ballyconnell, Co Cavan, on 20 April 2022, beginning at about 10.30am or 11am and concluding in the afternoon. The search was carried out under a warrant issued by a District Court judge and related to an ongoing investigation into allegations of harassment made by employees of Quinn Industrial Holdings, now known as Mannok. Officers seized Quinn's phone, diary, documents and boxes of material, and no arrests were made. Quinn told BBC News Northern Ireland that officers described the matter as coercion, deception and harassment, and that he was not told who the allegations were against. The investigation follows a campaign of attacks on senior employees of Mannok, including the 2019 abduction and assault of Kevin Lunney, for which three men were convicted at the Special Criminal Court in December 2021.
