  Sean Norry, a man aged 88 of St Mary's Terrace, Ramelton, County Donegal, was accused of sexual offences against two girls, one aged 13 and the other aged between 12 and 14, in County Donegal. After the girls' disclosure to her mother, specialised detectives interviewed the girls, and Norry was arrested and interviewed, telling detectives he was just tickling the girls. He was charged with four counts of sexual assault and one count of inviting or inciting a child to sexual touching, and he entered a signed guilty plea in the District Court. At Letterkenny Circuit Court he was sentenced to three years in prison, with the final 12 months suspended on condition he enter a bond to keep the peace and be of good behaviour for 12 months after release, a sentence reported in May 2026.
