  A fire was deliberately set at an IPAS accommodation centre on George's Street, Drogheda, Co Louth, on 31 October 2025, when petrol was poured on the internal staircase and set alight. Five people, including a mother and her 20-day-old baby, were rescued from the top floor, and 28 residents were displaced. Josh Devlin, 25, Jonathan Judge, 23, and Sean Everitt, 25, were arrested between 5 and 17 November 2025 and charged with arson or criminal damage by fire. All three pleaded guilty at Dundalk Circuit Court in October 2026 and were remanded in custody for sentencing on 23 February 2027.
