  • Two men ordered arrested for breach of court orders in Dublin Breach of court orders · Co. Dublin

Ardee House on Chamber Street in Dublin's Liberties was broken into around Christmas and has been used as a cafe and social centre since. Eoghan Lynch and Seán Doyle, who say they act for the Revolutionary Housing League, were given three days to leave by Judge Brian Cregan in early June 2026. The deadline expired on a Sunday, but activities at the property continued. On 24 June 2026, the High Court ordered the arrest of both men for breach of court orders, with the case to return the following week.

  • Arrest ordered for breach of injunction at Parkgate House, Dublin Contempt of court (breach of injunction) · Co. Dublin

Members of a group calling itself the Revolutionary Housing League allegedly illegally occupied Parkgate House in Dublin 8 from late August 2022, using the building to house homeless people and hold events. The building's owners, Davy Platform ICAV and Ruirside Developments, which plans to develop the site into 519 rental units, sought a High Court injunction against Seán Doyle, Alan Hall, Diarmuid Breatnach and all persons in occupation. Ms Justice Roberts granted the injunction on 15 September 2022, but the court heard on 20 September that the order had been flouted, with an event of over 200 people held at the premises. On 22 September 2022, Mr Justice Heslin found a flagrant breach of the injunction and directed that all persons in breach be arrested by the Garda and brought before the High Court, with the possibility of committal to Mountjoy Prison.

  • Two men found in contempt of court over Dublin trespass Contempt of court (trespass) · Co. Dublin

A group calling itself the Revolutionary Workers Union occupied Lefroy House on Eden Quay, Dublin 1, on 1 May 2022, intending to use the Salvation Army property to house homeless people. The Salvation Army, which was renovating the building for Ukrainian refugees, secured a High Court injunction in May 2022 requiring occupants to vacate. Seán Doyle, a man aged 72, was among those inside when 80 Gardaí removed two men from the building on 8 June 2022 after the 2 June deadline had passed. The two men appeared before the High Court on 9 June 2022, where the judge found them in wilful and deliberate contempt of the court's orders but declined to commit them to prison, adjourning the matter to a later date.

  • Offaly recycling directors face committal over alleged contempt of court Contempt of court · Co. Offaly

In September 2021, Mr Justice Simons ordered that the Oxigen Environmental waste recycling facility at Barnan, Daingean, Co Offaly could only accept construction and demolition waste. Residents Elaine Kelly Dunne, Noel Moore, Ann Flynn, David Kelly, Annette McGrath, Lousie O'Sullivan, Claire Moore Matt Kelly and Michael Kelly brought High Court proceedings against Guessford Ltd, trading as Oxigen Environmental, alleging the facility was in persistent breach of the order by processing commercial, timber and municipal waste. On 18 February 2022, Mr Justice Simons granted the residents permission to bring a motion for the attachment and possible committal to prison of the company's directors Sean Doyle and Alan Doyle for alleged contempt of court. The matter was set to return before the High Court early the following week.
