  Noel Jordan, a 59-year-old man from Lisdoonvarna, pleaded guilty to six charges of indecent assault on Seán Collins, a boy who was seven when the offending began. The assaults took place over a six-year period between February 1980 and February 1986 at various locations in Lisdoonvarna, including Lisdoonvarna National School. Jordan was remanded in custody at Ennis Circuit Court in May 2026 pending sentence. He was subsequently sentenced to 43 months in prison with the final 12 months suspended, and ordered to pay €10,000 to Barnardos.
