On 16 August 2024 at about 3am, Saul Miller, a 23-year-old man of Letterkenny, County Donegal, was topless on Main Street, Letterkenny, and produced his fists as if to box Gardaí, and a solicitor said drunkenness caused him to have his top off. Miller was charged with a public order offence under Section 6 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act 1994. Reports from October 2024 say Letterkenny District Court ordered him to make a €200 contribution to St Vincent de Paul to avoid a conviction, with a default conviction and €300 fine set. The case was remanded to appear again on 4 November.
