Sandra Hehir, a woman aged 54 or 56, pleaded guilty in October 2023 at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin to laundering €124,055 from the proceeds of crime found in the attic of her home in Limerick city. The cash was discovered on 17 June 2020 during a search connected to a garda anti-money laundering operation targeting the Keane Organised Crime Group. On 26 February 2024, Mr Justice Michael MacGrath sentenced her to three years and six months in prison, with the final year suspended for two years. She is the sister of convicted drug dealer Christy Keane, and two co-accused also pleaded guilty in relation to the offences.

Three people from Limerick were charged with money laundering offences relating to €59,000 spent on works at Kilmurry Court, Garryowen, arising from an investigation into the Keane Organised Crime Group. Vicky Hehir, 29, and her husband Warren Hehir, 32, were arrested and charged, with Vicky arrested in August 2020. The couple pleaded guilty to money laundering charges at the Special Criminal Court in July 2023, with Warren also pleading guilty to a Rolex watch charge. They were remanded for sentencing on 22 January 2024, with Warren in custody and Vicky on continuing bail.
