  On Saturday 7 June 2025 at about 5pm, Samuel McGinley, a 41-year-old man, was involved in a public order incident at Dundrain, Burnfoot, Inishowen, Co Donegal, after leaving the scene of a road traffic collision. He was arrested under Section 24 of the Public Order Act, charged and bailed at Buncrana Garda Station, and later pleaded guilty at Buncrana District Court to two public order charges. The court accepted an early guilty plea, and he has 22 previous convictions. He was fined €500, with eight months to pay, on the Section 6 breach of the peace offence, while the Section 4 public intoxication charge was struck out after a €100 contribution to Buncrana St Vincent de Paul, as reported on 16 December 2025.
