  A 57-year-old man, Sammy Hui, of Wellington Quay, Drogheda, was charged with knowingly permitting a premises at Chapel Street, Dundalk to be used as a brothel for habitual prostitution between 1 April 2019 and 25 November 2020. He was arrested as part of a Garda operation targeting prostitution in the Dundalk area. In July 2021, Judge John Brennan at Dundalk District Court returned him for trial at Circuit Court and granted legal aid. He pleaded guilty at Dundalk Circuit Court in October 2021, and Judge Mary O'Malley Costelloe adjourned the case to 11 January for sentencing, remanding him on continuing bail.
