A 44-year-old woman was sentenced at Naas District Court for assaulting a garda and breaching the Public Order Act. Sgt Dave Hanrahan was kicked in the testicles by Sally Murray at Lacken View, Naas, on 11 April 2019. The court heard the woman was out of control and described as very aggressive and abusive. Judge Michele Finan imposed a €50 fine and directed €200 to the Garda Benevolent Fund. Murray, who has five children and is not working, apologised to the court.
