    On 5 August 2025, a vehicle was observed reversing up James Street, a one-way pedestrian street, in Kilkenny City against the flow of traffic. Gardaí stopped the driver, Salim Saidovich Rasulov, a man, and demanded his driving documents, which he failed to produce. He pleaded guilty to driving without a licence or insurance at Kilkenny District Court before Judge Geraldine Carthy. He was disqualified from driving for two years and fined €300.
