Saleban Abdisahar (30), a Swedish citizen of no fixed abode in Sweden, arrived at Terminal One of Dublin Airport on a Ryanair flight from Bordeaux, France, on 18 February 2022, when a Schengen warning indicated his Swedish passport had been lost or stolen. A woman found on a stairwell outside the immigration hall had no travel documents and admitted paying to be smuggled in. Abdisahar pleaded guilty to three counts of facilitating illegal entry on flights into Dublin Airport on 23 January, 29 January and 18 February 2022. On 2 March 2023 he was sentenced to three years in prison at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court, with the sentence backdated to 18 February 2022.
