Sait Murrin, a 22-year-old man, was sentenced at Sligo Circuit Court on 9 February 2022 for assaulting two men, including slashing one man's throat with a Stanley blade. He also chased a barber through the streets of Sligo and assaulted him in a car park, threatening to kill his family. Murrin pleaded guilty and Judge Francis Comerford handed him three years and one month.
