On 14 August 2022 in Ardee, County Louth, a man allegedly grabbed a phone from a stranger and drove off, injuring the victim as he tried to get it back. The victim is a man whose age and nationality are not stated. Ryan Sharkey, a 28-year-old man from Clones, County Monaghan, was charged with endangerment arising out of the incident.
