Ryan English, 41, of Dundalk, was arrested after becoming aggressive with gardaí who responded to a call on 23 January 2022. He followed the officers out of the house, acted in a threatening manner, and called them 'rats' while highly intoxicated. He was charged with being intoxicated in a public place and using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour. Judge Deirdre Gearty struck out the charges at Dundalk District Court after a €500 donation was made to the Little Blue Heroes charity.
